There is probably no one more suited to be called a student of comedy than Silas Coursón. He began his love for the art as a small boy with a worn out 8-track tape of Steve Martin’s “Let’s Get Small” in the 80’s, and he has been absorbing all the standup he could get his hands on ever since. Silas knows his comedy, and his deep influences and oblique sense of humor come through in his material. Whether it be his experiences with love and loss, being raised by bizarre parents, or inexplicably still contending with teenage punk angst in his 40’s, he brings a unique and sardonic perspective to the stage. Silas is mainstay of the Dallas comedy scene and can be seen regularly at Dallas Comedy House.
